Order code 5468 is the suction motor SEBO specifies for the AUTOMATIC X4, X4 Boost and X5 and for the ESSENTIAL G1, G2, G4 and G5. Rated 1300 W on 120 V, it arrives with pulley and mount fitted and appears as item 146 on the ESSENTIAL G4/G5 sheet, close to the rubber mountings at item 148 that carry it inside the body.
A motor rarely stops without notice. The pattern to watch for is suction dropping away and staying down after a new bag and clean filters; a bearing note rising in pitch as the unit heats; a hot smell of insulation after a long run; or the machine shutting off mid-job and refusing to restart until it has cooled. With the airway proven clear, each of those points here rather than at filtration.
The pulley matters more than it first appears. Because it is already on the shaft, the belt run lines up on its original centres and nothing has to be pressed off the failed unit and pressed back on. That removes the one step in this job most likely to damage a sound part.
