Product details
A brush roll that squeals at one end, wanders sideways, or takes a moment to come up to speed has usually lost a bearing. Part 2313GS is the right-hand half of that pair in the gray black finish, and it ships complete, so the bearing already sits in its housing and the repair is a swap rather than a press-fit rebuild on the bench.
SEBO draws this piece at position 105 in the ET 1 / ET 2 power head diagram, and at position 105 again in the DART and FELIX diagrams. The failure has a recognisable arc. First comes a rise in running noise that tracks brush speed rather than motor speed, then the belt begins creeping toward one end of its pulley, and finally the roll develops enough play to be rocked visibly in its seat by hand. Left long enough, an out-of-square roll wears its own end cap and starts scrubbing the carpet harder on one side of the opening than the other.
Look over the opposite end while the roll is out. The left-hand block, part 2314GS in the same finish, carries identical hours and tends to wear on much the same schedule, and doing both at once avoids a second strip-down. Clear wound hair from the roll shaft before reassembly, since that binding loads the bearings every time the head runs. Light gray ET-1 heads take block 2313HG instead, so order by the finish on the head in front of you. Fitment on this gray black block runs across both head widths, which is why one number covers uprights and canisters alike.
