We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Ahead of the motor on every AUTOMATIC X and ESSENTIAL G upright sits a flat white microfilter pad, and 5036AM is that part. SEBO's exploded view for the 300/350 Mechanical calls it out at position 31. Its job is to catch the fine dust that works through a paper bag before any of it can reach the motor windings.
It fits the SEBO AUTOMATIC X1, X2, X4, X4 Boost, X5, X7 Premium, X7 Pet and X8, the ESSENTIAL G1, G2, G4 and G5, and the 300 Mechanical and 350 Mechanical. Access is behind the bag chamber and the pad lifts out by hand, so it is a two-minute job with the machine already open for a bag change.
A gray, matted pre-motor filter is one of the most common reasons a well-kept SEBO loses suction, and it is the one people skip because the bag takes all the attention. Look at it every second or third bag. A pad that is uniformly dark is a restriction sitting in the middle of the airflow path rather than a filter doing anything useful.

Fitting is a straight exchange with no tools. Open the bag chamber, lift the old pad out of its recess, drop the new one in the same way up and close the cover. Because it takes seconds, the sensible habit is to buy filters and bags together and change the pad on every second box of bags rather than trying to remember it on its own.
