This belt fits the Dirt Devil CE6000, CE6100, CE6105, CE6200, CE6300, CE7100, CE7100C, CE7300, CE7350 and CE7450, the Hoover FH50010, FH50030 and FH50035, and the Royal RY7600. Across that range the belt does the same job: it loops the motor shaft to the brush roll so suction alone is not doing all the agitation work on carpet, since a powerhead nozzle depends on a spinning brush roll to work embedded dirt loose the way a plain suction nozzle cannot.

A belt that has stretched from age or heat slips instead of gripping the spindle tightly, so the brush roll turns slower than it should or stops moving even though the motor keeps running. That mismatch, a normal-sounding motor with a weak or silent brush roll, is the clearest sign the belt needs replacing rather than the motor itself, and catching it early avoids the belt shredding and leaving rubber debris wound around the brush roll.
