SEBO Brush Drive Belt for t...

Product details

Carpet pile only lifts if the brush roller is spinning at full speed, and on the SEBO ET-H head that comes down to this belt. Part 2750 is the brush drive belt for the ET-H, sometimes written ETH, power head.

It is the second stage of a two-belt drive: 2749 carries power from the motor across to the transmission, and 2750 takes it from there to the roller. Knowing which is which saves a wasted order, because a slipping belt at either stage produces the same lazy roller.

  • Fits: the SEBO ET-H and ETH power head
  • Drives: the brush roller
  • Replace when: stretched, cracked or glazed
  • Related part: 2749 links the motor to the transmission
  • Pack: one belt
  • Order as: SEBO part 2750

Belts stretch by degrees, so the loss of cleaning is gradual and easy to miss until a patch of carpet stops looking any different after a pass over it. Look the belt over every few months while you are clearing hair off the roller, and change it as soon as it shows slack, cracking or a glazed face. A belt you can lift far off its pulley with a fingertip has already stretched past its useful tension. Turning the roller by hand while watching the belt shows up a tired one straight away, since it should drive the roller with no slip and no lag.

Keeping a spare in the drawer is sensible on a machine used weekly, because a belt tends to give up in the middle of a job rather than politely at the end of one. Having one on the shelf turns a lost afternoon into a five-minute interruption.

Fitting one is a short job with a screwdriver, and it is worth cleaning the pulley grooves and checking the roller bearing block, part 2751DG, at the same time, since a roller that drags will eat a new belt as quickly as it ate the old one.
