Replacing a cracked bag compartment on an ESSENTIAL G4 or G5 means ordering 51150HG: the dust bag housing supplied complete in light gray, with its bumper already on it. The housing is the chamber the bag sits in, and it has to stay sealed for the machine to pull properly — every cubic foot of air the motor moves is drawn through that box first.
Damage here comes from drops and from years of knocks against furniture and door frames. A split shell, a stripped fixing point, or a housing that no longer sits square will all leak air, and no fresh bag makes up for it. The symptoms are familiar to anyone who has chased them: pickup that has quietly fallen off, dust appearing on the outside of the bag chamber, or a bag that will not seat squarely on its collar.
