We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. This is the plastic wand for Eureka and Sanitaire Mighty Mite canisters, molded in black and ordered as part 140703. It connects the hose to the floor or hand tool, giving the operator the reach to work a nozzle across the floor without bending down to hose height.
A wand cracks most often near the coupling ends, where it takes the stress of being twisted or dropped while attached to the hose. Once a crack opens at either end, the fitting no longer seals tightly against the hose cuff or the tool, and suction leaks out at that joint before it ever reaches the floor. A wand that has gone brittle with age can also snap cleanly in the middle if it is stepped on while lying across a doorway, which is a different failure than the slow crack at a coupling.
Plastic construction keeps the wand light, which matters on a canister that is carried from room to room rather than rolled, but the same plastic that keeps the weight down is also what makes the coupling ends the weak point rather than the length of the tube. Replacing the wand as a complete unit rather than attempting a repair keeps both coupling ends sealing the way they did when the machine was new.
