Product details
Clamping the exhaust filter flat against its seat is what part 2820GS does on SEBO ESSENTIAL G series uprights. The gray-black moulding is the piece you unclip at every filter change, and one cover covers the whole family: the ESSENTIAL G1, ESSENTIAL G2, ESSENTIAL G4 and ESSENTIAL G5 all take this number.
Tabs on a part handled that often eventually break, and a cover that no longer latches lets the filter lift at one corner. Air then takes the easy route around the media instead of through it, so fine dust is pushed back into the room even with a brand-new filter in place. A cover that closes properly is what makes changing the filter worth doing. The symptoms that send people looking are a cover that springs open in use, a latch that has snapped off in the hand, or a dusty film on the wall behind where the machine is parked.
This is the housing only — the media it holds is exhaust filter 2846, and the two are usually worth ordering together if the old cover has been letting air past for a while. Inside the machine, the pre-motor side takes microfilter 5036AM, or the HEPA version 5812ER, or anti-odor microfilter 5425AM, all three interchangeable in the same slot; filter bags for these uprights are 5093AM. Fitting the new cover is a hand job with no tools: seat the filter square, hook the cover in and press until both latches click.
