A PortaPower supplied with a reusable cloth bag will not take a paper Type N bag on its own; it needs the adapter that seats in the bag chamber first. Kit 4010050N is that conversion, one Hoover bag adapter plus five Type N paper bags, for the CH30000.
The reason to make the switch is emptying. A cloth bag means opening the machine, shaking dust back into the air you have just cleaned, and brushing out whatever clings to the fabric. With the adapter fitted, a full bag lifts out sealed and a fresh one drops in.
Fit the adapter once and it stays put. From then on you are only reordering Type N bags, and the five in this kit are enough to get started.
