This genuine OEM dual ratchet (Part #133069G) fits the Kirby 516 and many later models. It sets and locks the handle position so you can recline the machine for cleaning or stand it upright for storage.
If the ratchet wears, the handle drops on its own or will not release from upright. Installing the correct OEM ratchet returns firm, positive handle control at each setting.
