Kirby Hose Tube Swivel - Gen 5

Product details

Hose tube swivel for the Kirby Generation 5, part 223397 - the attachment end of the hose, the piece that wands and tools push into. The swivel lets the fitting rotate so you can work a tool around a chair leg without the hose winding itself tight behind you.

It is a small part that fails in a way people usually blame on the machine. A hairline crack or a collar that has worn loose bleeds air right at the joint, so the tool in your hand goes weak while the vacuum itself still roars away as normal. Tools that keep pulling free are the other tell.

This is the Generation 5 fitting specifically. Kirby's hose ends look much alike across the Generation series, so check the badge on the machine before ordering rather than going by the photograph.
