Kirby Straight Wand - Gen 4

Product details

Part 224093 is the straight extension wand for the Kirby Generation 4. It drops in between the hose grip and the tool, adding a full length of reach for high work: ceiling corners, light fittings, the tops of wardrobes and cobwebs in a stairwell.

Straight is worth noting, since Kirby also used curved wands. This one runs dead straight, which gives better control when you are working overhead at arm's length and trying to push a tool into a corner rather than wave it near one.

Wands get replaced when an end fitting splits, when the tube gets bent, or when the original simply never came back from the last time it was borrowed. A cracked end will not hold a nozzle and leaks air continuously while the machine runs. This is the Generation 4 fitment specifically.
