Product details
The EBK340 power nozzle from Wessel Werk uses a molded cover over its motor to shield it from the brush chamber and hold the headlight in position on the nozzle body. Part 10.9011-318 is the replacement for that cover, and it sits closer to the working end of the nozzle than most people expect, taking the brunt of vibration and any impact from the brush chamber below it.
Years of that kind of duty crack or distort the plastic, and the symptoms are usually small before they become obvious: a rattle that was not there when the nozzle was new, a headlight that no longer sits square, or a fixing that no longer pulls the cover down tight. A cover that has begun to move against its mounting is worth replacing before the crack spreads, since a loose cover works on itself a little more with every pass. None of that stops the nozzle from running, so it is easy to keep using it well after the cover has actually failed.
This part is the cover only, not the motor underneath it. A brush roll that will not turn, or a nozzle that has gone quiet altogether, is a fault under the cover rather than in it, and the belt is worth ruling out before the motor in that case. This cover is built for the Wessel Werk EBK340.
