We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Oreck's XL2000 and XL3000 series commercial uprights hold the fan captive with a spring-threaded socket rather than a screw-on ear, and part 430000903 is that fan housing. The fan itself ships separately and threads onto the new housing.
The spring thread is where these housings wear. Once it no longer pulls the fan down snug, the fan shifts under load and air leaks past the joint, so pickup drops even though the motor still runs at full speed. A knocking or rattling note from the machine is often the first clue, showing up before the loss of suction becomes obvious on its own. A crack in the housing itself produces an identical leak, just a steady one instead of one that only shows up under load.
This housing is also listed for a wide range of Oreck's commercial upright lineup beyond the XL2000/XL3000 line, including models such as U2000E, U2160HH, U2510RH, U3710HH and U4080H2B. Because the fan is not included, thread the existing fan onto the replacement housing and confirm it draws down tight before closing the machine back up.
Disconnect power before pulling the fan free, and look over the blades while the housing is off; a chipped or unbalanced blade strains a new housing's thread in the same way it wore through the old one. Check your model number against the fitment list before ordering rather than matching by appearance alone.
