We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Inside a Bissell ProHeat's auto-mix system there is a small piston that meters formula into the water stream. Part 2108722 is that piston for the 1698 ProHeat and its relatives.
It is a wear item in a warm, wet environment. As the piston or its seal goes, metering stops being accurate: the machine lays down plain water while the formula tank empties slowly, or it dumps formula and leaves the carpet tacky and quick to re-soil. Dried formula around the piston can jam it outright, in which case the mix control does nothing at either end of its travel.
It fits the ProHeat 1697, 1698 and 1699-1, along with the 7901, 7920 and 8910. Flushing clean water through the system after each use is the single best way to stop the replacement gumming up the same way.
