Product details
Pump belt for the Bissell Pro-Heat steamer range of carpet cleaners, sold as part 2150628. Unlike the belt that drives the brush, this one turns the solution pump, and a failure here produces a very different set of symptoms from a stalled brush roll.
With this belt stretched, glazed or snapped, the machine gives almost no outward sign that anything is wrong. Brush agitation continues normally, and the recovery side keeps pulling water and dirty solution back out of the carpet just as it always has, so a quick glance at the machine running suggests everything is fine. The tell is at the trigger: pressing it produces nothing, or a thin dribble in place of a proper spray fan, and the carpet comes out scrubbed but essentially dry instead of actually cleaned.
Because the outward behavior is so close to normal, this failure gets misdiagnosed more often than a brush belt does. Anyone troubleshooting a Pro-Heat that seems to clean less effectively than before should check for spray output at the trigger before assuming the solution itself, the brush, or the tank fill is the problem.
This belt spans a large family of Bissell cleaners: the 1370, 1620, 1622, 1623, 1685, 1693, 1694-3, 1697, 1698, 1699-1, 1846, 25A3, 7901, 7920, 7950, 8804, 8805, 8806, 8910 and 9E00. Confirm your exact model number before ordering, since several share a similar body but not the same belt.
