Product details
Two different drive belts are listed for the SEBO Duo brush machine and they cannot stand in for one another. This is the 3 mm belt, part 3038, drawn at position 37 of the Duo parts diagram in the main body group - close to the 120 V motor 3049ER at position 34, the locking washer 0141 at 35 and the cover 3004SE at 39. The 5 mm belt carries its own number and lives further into the gear group.
Rubber gives up in a predictable order. It stretches first, so the belt slips under load without looking any different. Then the running face glazes and stops keying into the pulley grooves at all. By the last stage there is black dust collecting around the pulleys and the brush is turning noticeably slower than the motor is asking for, even though nothing sounds obviously wrong from the handle. That gap between how the machine sounds and what the brush is actually doing is the symptom worth trusting. A belt is a wear item on any brush machine, and keeping a spare with the vacuum turns a failure into a few minutes of work instead of a few days of waiting.
While the belt is off, it is worth looking at what it runs on. A grooved or glazed pulley will chew through a new belt as quickly as it did the old one.
