This genuine OEM Oreck bottom plate (part #09-75715-05) covers the underside of the cleaning head on the Oreck U2000EB and U2000RB-1 uprights, and it also fits the Hoover CH50200, CH50300, and U2000. The plate holds the brush roll in place and sets the floor-contact height.
A bottom plate that is cracked, warped, or missing lets the brush roll sag and exposes the belt and bearings to debris. Broken clips also make the plate rattle or fall away during use. A correct replacement plate secures the brush roll and restores even floor contact.
