Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

The front bearing plate carries the motor shaft at the fan end of a Kirby and includes the seal that keeps dirt-laden air away from the bearing. Part 105718S is the complete assembly with seal, so you are not pressing a bare bearing into a tired housing.
Kirbys give plenty of warning here. A dry or failing front bearing sounds like a rising growl or a grinding that changes pitch with motor speed, often with vibration you can feel through the handle. Left alone, the shaft wears the plate itself and the repair gets considerably more expensive.
This assembly fits the Kirby Generation 3, G4, G5, G Six, Ultimate G, Diamond Edition, Sentria and Sentria II, and the Avalir, Avalir 2 and Avalir Platinum. With the bearing plate renewed, the fan runs true again.
