This is the Oreck motor assembly supplied less fan, part 430000620, for the XL 100, 9100 and 9200 uprights and the long run of machines built on the same body: the U2000E, U2160HH, U2310RD, U2510RH, U2650HHR, U3120HH, U3700HH and U3761HH among many others.
A vacuum motor gives plenty of warning before it stops. Brushes wear down and the machine starts and stops as they lose contact; bearings dry out and the running note climbs into a scream; near the end there is a hot smell and the vacuum cuts out once it warms up. Suction fades through all of it, which is why the motor is often what gets replaced after new bags and a new belt changed nothing.
The fan is not included here, so plan to move your existing fan across or order one alongside. Unplug the machine before opening the motor bay.
