We offer 35-day returns on eligible items: request a Return Authorization (RA#) within 35 days of delivery, and your return must reach us within 21 days after the RA# is issued.
Items must be unused, in new condition, and in original packaging with all accessories. For non-defective returns you pay return shipping; original shipping charges are not refunded, and if your order shipped free our actual outbound shipping cost is deducted from the refund. Wide bases need the longer seal. 5400-2 is the 15 in. sealing strip, listed at position 150 on the parts sheet SEBO titles AUTOMATIC X7/X8.
That sheet covers two different base plate builds, and telling them apart is where an order goes astray. The rear bottom plate 52120GS at position 149 is listed as including positions 150 and 165, so it ships with this strip and with screw 0197ER, an M4 x 12, already fitted. The other rear plate on the same sheet, 52110GS at position 144, is listed with positions 145 and 160 instead — a different fastener, 01029ER — and does not carry position 150 at all. Matching on a balloon number alone is how a 15 in. strip ends up ordered for a base that never took one. Match on the code 5400-2.
In service the strip runs along the underside of the base and stops air slipping in around the edges instead of being drawn up through the carpet. A hardened or torn strip presents as weak pickup while the motor, the bag and the filters all check out fine, and it is exactly the sort of cheap part a service skips because nothing about it looks broken. Nearby on the same drawing sit the rubbing plate 5155GS at position 139 and the pile adjustment wheel 5174GS at 141, both worth a glance while the machine is upside down. Narrower bases use the 12 in. strip, 5400-1.
