This OEM Hoover agitator holder end plate is the left-side plate for the Hoover model 913, and it also fits the 91 and 918 uprights. The plate caps one end of the agitator and holds the brush roll assembly in position within the nozzle.
When the end plate cracks or wears, the agitator loses proper support, so the brush roll sits crooked, rubs, or spins unevenly. A fresh left-side plate re-seats the agitator squarely for smooth, even rotation against the carpet.
