Part 09-75715-03 is the complete noise-suppressing base plate assembly for Oreck 2000, 3000 and 9000 series uprights: the plate itself, the wheels and the side brushes, supplied together. It also replaces the earlier 09-75715-01.
The base plate is the surface the machine rides on, and it wears from underneath where nobody looks. Flat-spotted or seized wheels make the vacuum drag and can mark hard floors. Side brushes that have gone short stop sweeping debris in toward the nozzle from along the edges. A cracked plate lets the head sit unevenly so brush contact varies across the width.
Buying the assembly complete is the sensible route on a machine with years on it, since all three wear together. It fits models including the U2000R and the XL9300, XL9300C, XL9300G, XL9300H, XL9300MM, XL9300MS and XL9300S.
