Beam, now a brand of Trovac Industries, supplies this 30-foot electric hose for its central vacuum systems, built to the 1-3/8 inch bore that Beam inlet valves use. The jacket is Beam's Peppercorn finish, and the hose is wired for 110/24V dual-voltage service, so it carries suction back to the canister while feeding power out to a floor nozzle (part HOPE30P).
The power side travels through a pigtail cord rather than through the wall valve: a short lead near the inlet end has to seat into an ordinary outlet before the handle switch or the nozzle motor will do anything. Practically, that means the inlet you use needs a working receptacle within reach, since an open port alone will not energize the nozzle. It ships configured as a pigtail hose, with the option to convert it to a direct-connect setup if your inlets are wired to carry that power themselves.
Away from the wiring, the outer jacket takes the abuse of being dragged past furniture and closed doors without crushing flat, and it coils down cleanly for storage between cleaning sessions.

Before ordering, check that your inlet takes a 1-3/8 inch cuff and that a live outlet sits close enough for the pigtail plug to reach. When a nozzle already on your system quits running while suction is unaffected, look at that outlet and the plug first, because a dead receptacle looks identical to a failed wire inside the hose from the user's side.
