This silver handle assembly, part 203-2441, is the upper handle section of a Bissell Lift-Off upright, the part your hand is on whenever the machine is being pushed, steered or laid back.
Bissell publishes this one handle across a long list of Lift-Off variants, which is why the fitment below runs wider than it does on most handle parts. Wear concentrates at the base joint, where the pushing and reclining loads all land: it either cracks outright or loosens until the upper body starts moving independently of the cleaning head.
