Lamb Ametek 116336 central vacuum motor, SKU 205 — a new (not rebuilt) two-stage, 120-volt Ametek original found across many central vacuum makes. Since late 2016 production has been upgraded to the 116336-01 spec, whose cooling fan rides on a bearing rather than the earlier bushing. It replaces the 115407, 115477, 115737, 115757, 116212, 116757, and 116758 motors.

Alternative available: the 119413 motor drops straight into the 116336's place, is built with newer technology, runs more efficiently, and usually costs less — though it has about 10% less power. In a two-motor unit you can even run one of each at the same time.
Replace the 116336 after breaker popping, an electrical smell, heavy sparking, or shutdowns that come and go; motor life runs 900-1,200 hours. Install takes three to four bracket screws and a couple of wires, and its carbon brushes (two needed) are replaceable.
