The Lamb Ametek 117939 central vacuum motor (SKU 199R) is a new-in-box Ametek original — no rebuilds here — used in a variety of central vacuum systems. This three-stage, 110-120 volt motor replaces the 117939 only. If your current motor is stamped 7939 or 11-7939, that is the same motor under a shortened marking.

Working life is roughly 900-1,200 hours. Time to replace when you see any of these: a mini breaker that keeps popping, an electrical odor, excessive blue sparking from the motor top, or a motor that dies and then runs again later. No click at all when the vacuum is switched on usually implicates the relay, not the motor. Installation involves a few screw brackets and basic wiring. Two 117939 carbon motor brushes will service the brush set when it wears.
