Suction rake tool (SKU 402P) — also known as a rug tool with tines — built specifically for long shag and deep pile carpet that ordinary vacuum heads can't handle. On thick, high-pile carpet a standard head sinks in and the roller stalls; worse, carpet makers warn that a beater brush can damage pile that's sensitive to brushing, which is why many recommend suction-only cleaning for these constructions.
This tool takes a different approach: twin rows of long, rigid plastic tines rake through the pile to loosen debris while suction pulls it out from a channel between the rows.
- Made for high-pile shag with tufts roughly 3/8" thick, spaced about 3/8" apart, around 2.5" long
- Suits shag styles from mills like Shaw, Tuftex, Sutton, CabinCrafts, and Couture & Queen — including Shaggy Sheik and Casabella lines
