This genuine Royal / Dirt Devil brush roll assembly (Part #2PD0210000) is the complete replacement agitator for the RY7200, RY7300, and RY7400 upright vacuums. It includes the bristled brush roll and end caps as a single ready-to-install unit.
The brush roll spins inside the cleaning head, its bristles beating and sweeping carpet to release ground-in dirt, dust, and pet hair so the suction can lift it away. As bristles wear flat or the bearings fail, you'll notice weaker pickup, cleaning streaks, and a belt that works harder than it should. A new assembly restores full-width agitation.
