The VacuMaid MS1682Z is a replacement wall hanger bracket grommet for VacuMaid central vacuum power units, sold individually. The grommet is the rubber bushing that fits into the wall mounting bracket and cushions the power unit where it hangs, absorbing motor vibration and isolating noise from the wall.
Over time these grommets dry out, crack, or fall away, which lets the unit rattle against its bracket and transmit extra vibration and sound through the mounting surface. Fresh grommets quiet the installation and keep the unit seated securely on its hanger.
