The VacuMaid white metal central vacuum inlet valve (Part #WW-629X) pairs a clean white metal faceplate with a built-in microswitch for direct-connect operation. Inserting the hose into the 1-1/4" inlet trips the microswitch and starts the central vacuum power unit automatically, so there are no low-voltage pins to align at the wall.
Sized at 5.75" high by 3.75" wide, it fits standard VacuMaid rough-in mounting plates, and the white metal door color-matches painted walls and trim for a low-profile look. The spring-loaded door closes over the 1-1/4" opening whenever the hose is removed, sealing the inlet so air leaks do not steal suction from the rest of the central vacuum system.
